MECCHA CHAMELEON Hider guide and paint tips
A strong Hider does not only vanish. They make the Seeker accept a false story about the room.

Before choosing a spot, ask what belongs there. A convincing Hider repeats the room language: color family, height, spacing, shadow, and purpose.
Paint tips for new players
- Sample colors from the surface nearest your final position.
- Avoid ultra-clean color blocks if the room is worn, noisy, or shaded.
- Check your outline from the Seeker path, not only from your own camera angle.
- If a spot requires perfect color and perfect pose, it is probably too fragile.
Beginner hiding routine
| Stage | Decision | Question |
|---|---|---|
| Spot | Pick the area first | Would a real object belong here? |
| Paint | Match local color | Does lighting change the read? |
| Pose | Break the body outline | Does my shape repeat anything nearby? |
| Wait | Stay calm | Is moving safer than staying still? |
Hiding with teammates
- Do not cluster unless the room has a reason for repeated props.
- Leave escape paths so one caught player does not reveal everyone.
- Agree whether the group is playing seriously or experimenting before the round begins.
FAQ
Quick answers
When should a Hider reposition?
Move when the Seeker has not locked onto your zone or when staying guarantees discovery. If the Seeker has already paused on you, movement often confirms suspicion.
